Active Server Pages (ASP):

Asp Wiki -- Uses MS-Access for the store.

Artificial Memory (www.artificialmemory.net) -- Uses Semantic Web technology based on SQL-Server.

Fp Wiki -- Uses MS-Access and easy to install with Frontpage, without admin priv.

Jass Wiki -- Based on Dolphin Wiki Web. Free source [GPL].

Limited Wiki (LIKI) -- MS-Access powered wiki with account access controls.

Noodle Wiki - Basic wiki using ASP and either Access or file system.

Open Wiki -- Based on Use Mod Wiki and Moin Moin, has a unique difference engine. BSD license.

Wiki Asp -- Uses MS-Access. No GPL. Based on Asp Wiki engine. RSS and Table support.

Awki Awki -- tiny and fast wiki, RCS, BSD compatible license

Yawk Wiki -- Tiny customizable wiki. Requires GNU Awk (gawk) and Apache. Free Software [GNU GPL].

Wi! wiki -- Ultra-minimalistic wiki written in Bash (github.com )

Bash Wiki

www.ella-associates.org -- This is a type of wiki which has a slightly different approach than normal wiki systems. It attempts to use a thing called Invisible Markup Language. The idea is to have as little markup as possible. The wiki does not include many of the features which a wiki should such as versioning and a search system and it is written in the Bash shell language. This note written 10 august 2003, I am not sure if this site will exist for long. The source code for the wiki is available at www.ella-associates.org .

Wiki Sh -- A tiny wiki engine written in /bin/sh. CGI and command line version.

Cheshire Wiki -- Cheshire Two based wiki for any SGML DTD and Z39.50 access

Cee Language (C):

CVSTrac -- Bug and patch-set tracking tool for CVS that also includes a built-in wiki engine (www.cvstrac.org )

Edouards Wiki -- A CGI written in ANSI C (see also my note on Writing My Own Wiki)

Fossil -- Distributed software version control system that includes an integrated distributed wiki and an integrated distributed bug-tracking system. All in a single, easy-to-use, stand-alone executable. Both CGI and built-in http server (www.fossil-scm.org )

whiki -- whiki.wanderinghorse.net -- A CGI-based wiki back-end, written in C, which serves arbitrary wiki formats in JSON format and leaves rendering to the client. It includes a Java Script client.

Didi Wiki -- A small and simple C wiki with built in http server

Cee Plus Plus (C++):

Eddies Wiki -- Version 1.0, developed in Microsoft Visual C++. No configuration required, just unzip and run (standalone - no Web server required).

2 adaptations of Eddies Wiki are in active development: Wx Wiki Server (by Ryan Norton); Elreys Wiki Server;

Wiki Cpp -- Wiki++, a Wysiwyg Wiki using Cee Plus Plus.

Quickie -- Wiki clone written in C++ by Peter Miller (quickie.sourceforge.net )

Thoughts Weaver -- C++ wiki clone with security extensions (www.easycomp.org )

Conclave Dot Net -- Written in C# using its own Topic Maps datastore.

Dot Net Wiki -- Written in C# for the Dot Net Nuke portal system.

Flex Wiki -- Nice C# Wiki for .NET; supports file system and SQL Server; nice namespace support

Future Wikis -- C# Wiki for .NET; SQL Server only; User-friendly oriented and one-install-many-wikis engine

Per Spective -- Wiki with WYSIWYG editing, attachments, full searching (including MS Office docs) and security.

Screw Turn Wiki (www.screwturn.eu ) -- Lightweight and simple wiki, with no need for a database backend

Sushi Wiki -- C# Wiki for .NET. Uses XML files,SQL Server or MSDE.

Wiki Dot Net ( Now Deceased )-- Written in C# for ASP.NET, with a SQL Server 2000 back-end.

KInKI (profnano.org ) -- Written in C# for ASP.NET and MSAccess, very young.

MVCwiki -- Written in C# using asp.net MVC framework

ASP.NET Wiki Control (wikicontrol.codeplex.com ) -- An ASP.NET user control to incorporate wiki into an existing website. Utilises Markdown.

Seed Wiki -- A wiki that can use pluggable components and has provision for Wysi Wyg editing.

Common Lisp:

CLiki (www.cliki.net ) -- Written in Common Lisp. Provides links to Common Lisp resources.

XLWiki (www.sfmishras.com ) -- XL-Wiki is a fork of the original CL-Wiki project that aims to be easily extensible. There is a related ontological wiki project (CL-Wise) based on XL-Wiki.
